CityVets has four independent surgeries, conveniently located across the City of Exeter, each surgery is accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. We are looking for an RVN to work as part of our dedicated small animal practice. Our state of the art Veterinary Hospital  is equipped with the latest in technology and facilities. We continue to invest in our equipment in order to maintain our status as a leading Veterinary practice in the South West.

The role is based on a 36 hour week with two nights per month on call and 1in6 weekends.  You will play a key role in managing our busy inpatient and surgical caseload. You will be supported by a welcoming team of nurses and supporting a team of friendly vets. Your professional development will be fully encouraged and supported.

We are seeking an experienced pharmacy dispenser to support our veterinary and reception team. The role is permanent and full time. Working Hours; Monday – Friday 9am-5pm, no weekend work.
The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic, hard-working individual with strong customer service and communication skills. A strong understanding of stock management and experience handling and dispensing medication is required.
Duties to include but not limited to: 
• Dispensing medication that has been prescribed by Vet
• Answering queries regarding medication from clients
• Dealing with all repeat prescription requests, via email, phone and face to face.
• Ordering all drugs, including fridge lines, injectables and theatre equipment
• Sourcing drugs/medication requested by Vets
• Monitoring room/fridge temperatures
• Practicing stock rotation
• Weekly stock check of controlled drugs. Ensuring registers are completed & balanced daily.
• Disposal of OOD drugs and controlled drugs
• To use and manage the automatic ordering system
• SQP qualification desired but training can be given
